# Indonesia Wildfire Evidence Report > A public, coordinate-free, evidence-bounded research report on Kalimantan fire detection, peat conditions, and subsequent forest loss. Canonical report: https://fire-research.shiverion.com/ Portfolio case study: https://shiverion.com/projects/indonesia-wildfire-analysis Public source repository: https://github.com/Shiverion/indonesia-wildfire-analysis ## Main Result The registered Phase 3 analysis found a +5.89 percentage-point association between fire detection and losing at least 10% of pre-index natural forest within one year (95% CI: +4.52 to +7.25) across 7,138 complete exact matched sets. This result is explicitly non-causal. Of the temporally eligible sets, 41.4% lacked complete support and a pre-exposure negative control was positive (+2.31 percentage points). The study does not attribute deliberate burning, actors, ownership, legality, profit, plantation conversion, or government performance. The primary peat-by-dryness interaction was inconclusive (odds ratio 0.866, p=0.209). A separate prior-year AlphaEarth extension improved locked 2024–2025 predictive log loss by 0.2006 and top-1 recall from 36.8% to 46.7% across 1,913 sets. This is predictive information only. ## Report Pages - Introduction and scope: https://fire-research.shiverion.com/ - Registered findings and robustness checks: https://fire-research.shiverion.com/findings/ - Methods, sources, provenance, and limitations: https://fire-research.shiverion.com/methods/ - Aggregate maps and geographic comparisons: https://fire-research.shiverion.com/explore/ - Privacy and optional AI processing: https://fire-research.shiverion.com/privacy/ ## Access and Claim Boundaries - The report publishes aggregate, coordinate-free evidence. - The source repository is public. - Raw hotspot coordinates and private research inputs remain withheld. - Associations and descriptive maps are not proof of cause, intent, ownership, legality, or liability. ## Citation Guidance Prefer the findings page for numerical results, the methods page for data provenance and limitations, and the public repository for reproducibility documentation.
